Detroit Rock City é um filme de 1999, enquadrado nos gêneros comédia e musical. Resumidamente, conta a história de quatro garotos, que, apaixonados pelo grupo de rock Kiss, criam uma banda cover e fazem o possível e também o impossível para ver a banda tocar, depois da mãe de Jam -um dos quatro rapazes- queimar os ingressos.   Muita aventura e desafios pela frente, numa época onde o Rock 'n' Roll, a calça jeans e o All Star eram essenciais.

Algumas curiosidades:

- A banda que aparece no filme, é sim, a verdadeira.

- Atrás da menina do caixa da loja de convêniencia onde Trip foi, tinha uma placa escrita "Travel To Rio", que é uma citação a cidade brasileira onde o Kiss tocou em 1983.

- Quando Trip impede o assalto e a atendente pergunta seu nome, ele fala "Pode me chamar de Dr. Love" relacionando com a música Calling Dr. Love.

Sinopse:

Em 1978, quatro adolescentes embarcam numa louca aventura pelas estradas americanas rumo ao show de sua banda favorita, o KISS, na cidade de Detroit. Levados pela paixão pelo grupo de rock, nada poderá impedir o grupo de assistir o grandioso espetáculo.
